Broome Flights
After much deliberation, we have decided to close our ballooning operation in Broome Western Australia.
The 2006 season finished on Saturday 30 September 2006 & will not start up again on Friday 1 June 2007 as previously planned.
The weather continued to disappoint us during the 2006 season, as it prevented us from conducting flights for a very large number of days. Prior to starting in Broome we conducted a careful analysis of the weather but to date we have not experienced a season remotely resembling the ‘statistical average’.
Support has been fantastic but the weather shows no sign of allowing us to fly most of the passengers booked. After our fourth year of operating balloon flights in Broome, we feel it is unfair to continue operating with such a high number of cancellations. Cancellations are disappointing not only to ourselves but also to clients and agents.
Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience this may cause.
If at anytime you would like to further discuss the closure of Broome, please do not hesitate to call our manager Kelley Smith.
We would like to thank you for your continued support of OUTBACK BALLOONING. Alice Springs will obviously continue to operate as normal with the consistency of weather allowed by our spectacular desert location.
Best regards,
John Sanby & John Wallington
