Experience the breathtaking feeling of floating silently above the Outback as the sun slowly rises over the desert on this awe-inspiring ballooning adventure. Journey to the launch site in the cool pre dawn darkness, and begin your ascent just as the morning light begins to illuminate the rugged McDonnell Ranges. Float gently across the vast expanse of the Australian Outback – keeping an eye out for native wildlife including the iconic red kangaroo – and gain an appreciation of the remoteness of the area as you glide across the landscape.
After landing you may become involved in assisting the crew or taking photographs as we pack the nylon balloon back into its bag. At the balloon landing site you will be offered champagne and tropical fruit juice accompanied by a selection of muesli biscuits, exotic slices, cheese and fresh fruit. A range of Outback Ballooning souvenirs is also available.
When We Meet – Return Transfers Included
We will pick up from any hotel, resort, caravan park or hostel in Alice Springs.
Pick up time is approximately one hour before sunrise. In winter we will pick you up at approximately 0500 with a return time around 0900. Summer it will be approximately 0400 with a return around 0800. The exact pick up time will be confirmed when you book.

Prices include mandatory Civil Aviation Safety Authority Insurance. The insurance charge is 25 AUD per person. If you book through an agent this charge is generally payable separately on the morning of the flight.

We suggest that you reconfirm the day before the tour. This can be done on the toll free number 1800 809 790. This is to check pick up time and also to advise us of room numbers. It is extremely important to be able to locate you if the weather is inappropriate for ballooning or in the event that the you sleep in.
Mobile telephone numbers are also very helpful and should be left on the night before your tour.
