Weather Conditions
Safety is our primary concern and if you are prevented from flying due to unsuitable weather conditions you may either rebook to another day or receive a full refund. The pilot’s decision with regard to safe flying conditions is final.
What to Wear
It is dusty in the bush. Suitable clothing, enclosed shoes and a hat are recommended. You will be no colder in the balloon than on the ground but it can be chilly before sunrise so a light jacket may be appropriate.
Cancellations
If you cancel within 24 hours of departure or do not show up on the morning you will not be given a refund.
Please note: If you book through a third party, (ie travel agent or tour desk) Outback Ballooning Pty Ltd recommends that you check their cancellation policy carefully & take out travel insurance, as a third party cancellation policy may differ.)

This is to check pick up time and also to advise us of room numbers.
It is extremely important to be able to locate you if the weather is inappropriate for ballooning or in the event that the you sleep in.
Mobile telephone numbers are also very helpful and should be left on the night before your tour.
Insurance (not optional)
Due to the imposition of mandatory flight insurance by the Australian Government under the Air Carrier’s Libability Act and the rapidly increasing and uncertain premiums in the adventure industry a component of the advertised price is set aside to cover insurance.
The amount is currently AUD$25.00 per passenger. Note this amount is included in the advertised price of all flights.
For Alice Springs flights if you book through an agent the insurance component is payable separately by cash or credit card on the morning of the flight
When and Where to Meet
Alice Springs Complimentary transfers to and from your accommodation included with every flight.
Flinders Ranges We meet at Rawnsley Park Station on the main Wilpena road 35km north of Hawker. You will be driven back to Rawnsley Park from the landing site.
Meeting times vary throughout the year but about one hour before sunrise. The exact time will be confirmed when you book. You will be with us for approximately 4 hours depending upon where we land.
